Services and Events
Services and Events
To fulfill part of its mandate, APEX will be offering a number of Services and Events to the executive cadre during 2009-10.
In terms of Services, this year APEX established a special arrangement with Johnson Inc. for home, auto and travel insurance for APEX members, as described on the Members Only page. In addition, the National Bank offers V.I.P. Financial Services for APEX Members, also referenced on the Members Only page. For retired executives, APEX offers additional services which many associate members find useful.
The Advisory Service for Executives (ASE) is entering its sixth year, and the clientele continues to grow. This confidential service, supported by the Deputy Minister community, is available free of charge to all federal executives at all levels across Canada and abroad.
In keeping with our goal to continue to offer useful, relevant, and timely learning Events, APEX this year is once again providing the opportunity for executives to participate in a number of learning initiatives and to network with executive colleagues across the federal public service. For more details on our current and upcoming learning events, click here.
APEX will continue to work with our traditional partners, such as the Canada School of Public Service and the Canadian Government Executive Magazine, on various initiatives which will be announced as they come to fruition, and will explore new opportunities to provide learning opportunities throughout the year in line with the interests of our members.
We will, as usual, be consulting with the membership to ensure that we are focusing on issues of interest and concern. Among other informal and formal consultations, we use our Services and Events agenda to take the pulse of our membership.
