As announced by the Clerk of the Privy Council, each executive is required to develop individual commitment and performance measures specific to their role and responsibility in their 2018-19 performance agreement in support of the following government wide corporate priorities:
- Promoting a Healthy Workplace
Executives are to continue to demonstrate their commitment to promoting a healthy workplace, with a continued focus on supporting the Federal Public Service Workplace Mental Health Strategy and a new emphasis on the implementation of organization-specific initiatives to prevent harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
- Building a Diverse Public Service
Executives are to continue to identify recruitment and development activities to increase the social and cultural diversity of our workforce, in order to better reflect the population we serve and improve decision making. This includes defining diversity goals with respect to the needs of your own organization, implementing the appropriate recruitment and development activities and measuring progress.
- Supporting Efforts to Address the Pay System
Executives whose organizations are served by the new pay system are to continue to undertake the necessary initiatives to ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time. This includes undertaking actions both within your organization and contributing to the efforts of Public Services and Procurement Canada and the Treasury Board Secretariat in tackling the challenges posed by the pay system.
