About this Event:

There are only two kinds of leadership in this world: leading self and leading others. It’s that simple, only two. In the midst of a pandemic, times are complex. Now, more than ever, how you conduct yourself might become the defining moment of your career, particularly as Government of Canada staff and leaders continue to work from home. One of the keys is how we build upon our relationships and our ways of collaborating.

When we understand the critical importance of crafting meaningful, respectful relationships among our team, we’ve set ourselves up for success. But when those interactions are no longer face-to-face—when everything we do is virtual and remote—how can we ensure that those relationships will continue, let alone start anew?

The bottom line is we as leaders need to ensure we are collaborating; we must go above and beyond the call of duty. All of it requires both reminders and new methods of remote leadership. After all, the pandemic is not going away any time soon. In this virtual keynote, you will leave with insights, stories and practical techniques on how to effectively lead virtual teams. We may be apart, but that doesn’t mean we’re alone. How we connect, communicate, collaborate and coach our teams is crucial to getting our projects and deliverables accomplished.

Ultimately we must remember that we’re all in this together, even when we’re apart.
