Darlène de Gravina is the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) of Human Resources at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). Darlène has held several Head of HR positions within the federal public service, including at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Department of Canadian Heritage, the former Canadian International Development Agency, and Defence Research and Development Canada.  Previously, she had spent 10 years each at the Department of National Defence and the Public Service Commission of Canada. She is the Chair of the interdepartmental Human Resources Council and sits on the Executive Committee of the National Joint Council. She holds a degree in Commerce from Queen’s University, an Executive Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Carleton University, and a Certificate in Public Sector Leadership and Governance from the University of Ottawa. A native Montrealer, Darlène enjoys traveling and listening to podcasts.
