Supporting Your Team Through Workforce Adjustment: An Executive Learning Opportunity
APEX is pleased to collaborate with the Treasury Board Secretariat’s Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO) to offer a targeted session for executives on the Work Force Adjustment authorities, including the NJC WFA Directive and the appendices to the PSAC and PIPSC collective agreements. This session will provide a clear and practical overview of the WFA authorities, which aim to maximize employment opportunities for indeterminate employees affected by workforce adjustment situations, primarily by facilitating alternative employment wherever possible or by providing support to leave the core public administration.
Although the authorities do not apply to executives, it’s essential for leaders to understand how these impact their teams. Executives may encounter situations where team members are affected by WFA and this session will help them navigate those moments with clarity and compassion.
Led by OCHRO experts, participants will gain actionable insights to better support their teams during transitions. Please note that department-specific contexts will not be addressed.
