Originally from the South-shore of Montreal, Patrick joined the department of then Indigenous Affairs in 2006 on a Comprehensive land claims and Self-Government negotiation team. Since then, he has worked in partnership with various Indigenous groups and provincial / territorial jurisdictions as a negotiator and financial negotiator at negotiation tables in Canada’s North, the Prairies, Quebec and the Maritimes.
In recent years, Patrick has also had the opportunity to serve as Director on financial issues and cost-sharing files within the Treaties and Aboriginal Government Sector and Director on Northern Governance Issues in the Northern Affairs Organization Sector. In the last several years, he has been responsible for the implementation of treaties settled in Northwest-Territories and the Prairies.
When he is not working hard on the department’s mandate, he focuses on the happiness of his daughters Alice and Zoé, and his wife Lindsay. From time to time, he also tries to deepen his knowledge on issues of interest, such as politics, music as well as wine and spirits appreciation.
