The APEX Leadership Summit will take place in-person in Ottawa and virtually on May 14-15, 2024.

Registration fee includes:

  1. attendance to all Summit sessions over two days
  2. access to exhibitors’ kiosks
  3. attendance to the APEX Awards of Excellence Ceremony.
  4. invaluable networking with your peers

In-person attendance also includes meals and refreshments.

Registration Questions

I would like to register and have my department invoiced. Is that possible?

Absolutely! When you go to register, you will come to the payment page. Select the Invoice option and click submit. An invoice will be sent directly to your email address for submission to your department.

I’d like to become a member / what does APEX membership offer?

We are always happy to welcome new APEX members. Membership at APEX has many privileges. For further information on membership or to renew/join, please visit the Benefits of Membership page.

I only want to attend part of the Summit or attend one session. Can I simply register for that session only?

Registration is for the full event, regardless of which parts a participant chooses to attend.

I registered for the Summit, but now cannot take part due to work commitments. Can I have a refund?

The deadline to cancel a registration is April 19. There will be an administrative fee. After April 19, there will be no refunds offered. If you can’t make it to the event, you can still participate online instead. If you wish to cancel your participation, please contact APEX as soon as possible.

What is the deadline for registrations?

The last day to register to attend in-person is April 29. Should you wish to register after that date, your only option will be to attend online. Due to the logistical preparation required for in-person events (seating, meals, etc), we cannot accept in-person registrations after April 29.

The last day to register to attend online is May 9.

No registrations will be accepted after May 9.

Can acting executives attend Summit?

Yes! Acting executives can attend Summit.

If they are an APEX member, they can also take advantage of the member pricing. To qualify for membership, acting executives must be in their position for a minimum of 6 months before they are eligible OR their acting position needs to last for a minimum of 1 year.

Where do I find details on the program and speakers?

How were the speakers chosen?

We are excited about this year’s line up of speakers. They were chosen by APEX in line with the themes selected for this year’s Summit. Our aim was to offer a rich variety of top-quality speakers with a diversity of experiences and perspectives on these themes.

Is the program interactive and will there any Q&A sessions?

Yes! Whether you are attending in-person or online, you will have access to the event portal. In the portal, you can chat with other attendees and exhibitors. You can post pictures on the event wall, participate via social media, take part in the session chats and a lot more. The majority of the sessions will allow a Q&A period. When it’s time, raise your hand in the conference room or send your question via the portal.

The two concurrent sessions offered one afternoon are also designed to create a more intimate experience for participants and have a more robust interaction.

Online Attendance Questions

I am attending Summit online: is it live or pre-recorded?

The event is completely taking place live. Whether you are at home or at the Shaw Centre, you will be participating in the sessions at the same time.

How do I join the Summit plenary on May 14?

A few days before the event, all registered participants will receive an email giving you access to the event platform. You will have a few days to get familiar with the platform and already start networking with colleagues before the Leadership Summit. On the portal, you will click on “Sessions” and then see the sessions for the conference listed in order. On May 14th at 8:30, make sure to click on the first one and you will automatically see the session’s video playing.
