Geneviève Binet is the Director General of Enterprise Transformation in the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) Chief Transformation Officer Branch. She joined the CBSA in March 2018 as a Director General in the Information, Science and Technology Branch.
Before joining the CBSA, Geneviève served as Chief of Staff to the Commissioner of Revenue for two and a half years. Prior to that, she held various executive positions with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). She led the Federal, Indigenous and Quebec Affairs Division, the area responsible for the CRA’s relationship with the province of Quebec and First Nations looking for self-funding options, and for negotiating information exchange agreements with federal departments. She also led departmental planning and reporting for the CRA, after spending three years as an executive in the CRA’s Public Affairs Branch.
Geneviève spent three years at the Privy Council Office (PCO) before joining the CRA, where she put her expertise in public opinion research to good use, following more than a decade in private sector market research.
Geneviève holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Business from Carleton University and a certificate in Advanced Moderating from the Washington-based RIVA Institute.
