APEX Leadership Series – Real Talk

Date: October 6, 2021
Type: Virtual

APEX Leadership SeriesReal Talk

Join us for this unique opportunity to hear New York bestselling author Liane Davey inspire us to be better leaders. Serving growing and diverse interests during and post pandemic with scarce resources means making tough calls, facing hard choices, and working through conflict. As we continue to lead in unchartered territories, we must help ourselves and our teams to better serve Canadians. But no matter how much we invest in conflict workshops and training, productive conflict remains rare. Why? Because productive conflict is about more than the right skill set. It requires the right mindset and the right processes, neither of which come naturally.

In this interactive session, Liane (The Teamwork Doctor) will walk us through how to turn conflict into a positive outcome that will make your teams more effective and engaged. We will learn how to do the following:

  • identify the costs (in lost productivity, reduced engagement, and heightened stress) of avoiding the difficult issues
  • reframe people’s perception about conflict so that their natural conflict aversion doesn’t turn into conflict avoidance or worse, passive-aggressiveness.
  • systematize conflict to neutralize and to normalize even the most difficult issues in your business
  • provide a compelling new perspective on self-care; invest in your resilience so you have the courage, empathy, and patience to embrace productive conflict.
